NICK JONAS

The Jonas Brothers have sold 8 millions albums, been nominated for a Grammy® and won the hearts of fans worldwide. But as Nick Jonas tells Rachael, the reaction they sometimes receive can be a little unpredictable. "We were releasing our album A Little Bit Longer here in New York and we went to Virgin Megastore," he says. "Basically, we told our fans we would be there at midnight and didn't expect as many to show up, but there were about 25,000 people! It was a special moment, but I think we all look back on it with a bit of fear, because we were like, 'We're gonna get locked up for this!'"
Nick faced a more serious scare when he was diagnosed with diabetes at age 13. He tells Rachael how he got through those first few trying days. "When I was diagnosed, it was really that make or break moment," Nick recalls. "I really had to make a choice to press on in the midst of the hard times. And a lot of that had to do with family pushing me through it. It's about pressing through it and relying on others as well, even if you're an independent person; diabetes is something that affects everyone, not just the individual."
